How do I actually book a visit?

WhatsApp Rabbi Levi at 845-729-1459. Tell him roughly where you are in South Florida and what you need — a mezuzah check, new tefillin for a Bar Mitzvah, installation in a new home. Most home visits are scheduled within the same week. If something is urgent, say so; he'll do his best to make it work.

Do you make house calls, or do I bring things to you?

Both. Most families prefer a home visit — the mezuzot are already on the doorposts, the children are home, and the whole inspection happens in one sitting. If a drop-off is easier for you, that's also fine. Rabbi Levi will tell you honestly which option makes more sense for what you need.

Which areas of South Florida do you cover?

Miami, Miami Beach, Aventura, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Sunny Isles Beach, Bay Harbor Islands, North Miami Beach, Hallandale, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens. If you're not sure your neighborhood is on the list, send a message — he often goes further than the standard areas.

How long does a visit take?

A single mezuzah inspection takes 15–30 minutes. A full home with 6–10 mezuzot is usually one to two hours. Tefillin checking takes about an hour. He does not rush — you'll get the time you need.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Zelle is preferred (miamimezuzahcenter@gmail.com). Cash and most major cards are also fine. Payment is due at the end of the visit, after you've seen the work and received the certificate.

Is there a charge for the home visit itself?

Accepted Answer

Yes — there is a $100 home visit fee that covers the trip, time on site, and the certificate. The per-scroll inspection cost is on top of that. The visit fee is the same whether you have two mezuzot or twelve, so most families schedule the whole house at once.

What do I actually receive after the visit?

Accepted Answer

A signed certificate listing each scroll inspected, its status, and the date. If a scroll needed repair, that's noted. If something needed to be replaced, you'll know which one and why. You keep the certificate for your own records and for the next inspection cycle.

What if my mezuzah or tefillin turn out to be invalid?

Rabbi Levi will tell you exactly what's wrong and walk you through the options. Many issues can be repaired. If a scroll truly needs to be replaced, he'll show you options at different price points and let you decide — there is no pressure to buy the most expensive one.

Can you help if I inherited tefillin or a Torah scroll?

Yes — and this is some of the most meaningful work he does. Inherited tefillin and old scrolls deserve a careful inspection before anyone assumes they're still kosher. Bring them in or schedule a visit; he'll treat them with the respect they deserve.
